Seedance 2.5 AI Video Generator – How to Use It Online

Seedance 2.5 is ByteDance's video generation model, released in summer 2026 as the successor to Seedance 2.0. It turns a text prompt into a short video with coherent motion, consistent characters and generated audio. According to ByteDance, the 2.5 release focuses on three things: better prompt accuracy, longer and more consistent shots, and richer reference inputs (images, video and audio) on its own platforms. In practice that means characters stay recognisable across the whole clip, camera directions such as "slow dolly in" or "handheld" are followed more closely, and sound effects line up better with the action.

2. Write a prompt in plain English: who or what is in the shot, what happens, where, and how the camera moves. Example: "A red vintage car drives along a coastal road at sunset, drone shot following from behind, warm light, waves crashing."

3. Pick 5 or 10 seconds and a format (16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for TikTok and Reels, 1:1 for feeds).

4. Press Generate. When the video is ready, play it in the page and download the MP4. If something is off, change one part of the prompt at a time and try again.

Lead with the subject and the action, then add setting, lighting and camera. Short, concrete prompts beat long lists of adjectives. Name one camera move per shot ("slow push in", "orbit around", "static wide shot") – mixing several confuses the model. Describe sounds you want to hear ("rain on a tin roof", "crowd cheering") because Seedance 2.5 generates audio too. If hands, text or faces come out wrong, simplify the scene or move the camera further away.
